Taste of Place with Lichen Estate

Taste of Place is a unique dining series that explores the terroir, history, traditions, and tastes of our region through the local winemakers, beer brewers, farmers, ranchers, and chefs who inspire us. On Thursday, February 18, gather with us to enjoy the wines of Anderson Valley’s Lichen Estate presented by Winegrower Doug Stewart, paired with thoughtfully created dishes from Chef Perry Hoffman, representing a unique collaboration between winemaker and chef. The evening will feature photographs of Lichen Estate taken by Troyce Hoffman, Chef Perry’s brother.

Lichen Estate farms gently, meticulously and organically in the heart of Anderson Valley. Winegrower Doug Stewart’s work begins in the vineyard – seven acres of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are farmed to create world-class sparkling wines and still Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Stewart understands that a farmer lives in symbiosis with the land and he employs old world methods to create classic wines.

Each Taste of Place dinner is designed to awaken the palate—and stimulate the brain—in a new way. By upending the usual winemaker’s dinner setting through the introduction of interviews, conversations, and unique additional sensory experiences, we aim to entice and provoke while creating fond memories of sharing the table together.
