A Six Seasons Dinner with Scribe Winery
Join us for a dinner celebrating farmer-chef Joshua McFadden and his book Six Seasons, a beautiful tribute to the seasonality of food. The book tracks the arc of life on a farm, from spring to early summer to midsummer to the bursting harvest of late summer, then ebbing into autumn and, finally, the earthy, mellow sweetness of winter. Joshua’s goals were to emphasize seasonality. “Once you think seasonally,” he says, “everything becomes easier.”
Attendees will sit down to a four-course meal with Joshua prepared by Chef Perry Hoffman with recipes and inspiration from Six Seasons. All attendees will take home a signed copy of the book. The dinner with be paired with wines from Scribe Winery, and Scribe winemakers Adam and Andrew in attendance. Reserve your ticket today for this unique event.
After years cooking at New York restaurants like Franny’s, Lupa, Momofuku, and Blue Hill, Joshua McFadden managed the trailblazing Four Season Farm in coastal Maine, where he developed an appreciation for every part of the plant and learned to coax the best from vegetables at each stage of their growth. He then brought that ingenuity with vegetables to Portland, Oregon’s Ava Gene’s, and now shares his perspective of farmer and chef with his brand-new book.
