Screening of A River’s Last Chance

Join for a special screening of A River’s Last Chance, a film rooted in the belief that we can live symbiotically with our watersheds and encourage both a river’s recovery and economic future.
Arguably the best opportunity for wild salmon recovery on the West Cost, the Eel River has faced decades of challenges, including overfishing, logging, floods and droughts, and a hydropower dam that diverts water out of basin. Today, the Eel River’s recovering wild salmon compete for water with the region’s burgeoning cannabis economy and wine industries of Sonoma and Mendocino.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Shane Anderson and CalTrout’s Videographer and Field Reporter, Mike Wier.
Presented by California Trout, Russian Riverkeeper, and North Fork Studios.
