In Full Flower with Gemma Ingalls and Studio Mondine

Photographer Gemma Ingalls’s book In Full Flower is a compilation of a new wave in contemporary floral design, featuring artists who combine traditional techniques with an organic, free-form, “back-to-nature” style. On August 12, we are proud to welcome Gemma and the designers behind Studio Mondine, who are featured in In Full Flower. The event includes a live floral demonstration by Studio Mondine and a discussion with Gemma about the current and future trends in floral design. The event includes a reception with drinks and bites from the SHED kitchen and a signed copy of the book.

In Full Flower has over 300 original color images and short writing on each artists’ inspirations and philosophies. It is a spectacularly inspiring floral survey will be treasured by lovers of beautiful flowers and interiors alike.

Along with husband Andrew Ingalls, Gemma Ingalls is half of the celebrated duo Ingalls Photography. Their work has been featured in Architectural Digest, New York Magazine, Travel & Leisure, House Beautiful,  Saveur, and Martha Stewart Living. They are based out of Brooklyn, New York. They are currently working on two new books.

Studio Mondine is a floral design studio based in San Francisco. They seek to balance the lushness of English garden arrangements with the precision of Japanese ikebana and look to nature and the changing of the seasons to inform their designs. It’s with feverish enthusiasm that they seek out the rarest ingredients, working directly with the finest flower farmers in the nation or cultivating these special blooms in their small cutting garden.
