Support our local farmer’s market and express your inner artist with a farm-fresh art class led by Heather Hardison, author of Homegrown Illustrated Bites from Your Garden to Your Table.

Heather will lead participants through a guided trip to the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market to pick out picturesque produce, then lead the class through a drawing and painting lesson. Participants will learn to sketch and paint visually inspiring produce and how to connect the eye to the hand through active seeing. Everyone will go home with a hand-painted still-life commemorating the season’s bounty.

This class includes all necessary supplies and will conclude with a family-style dinner featuring recipes from Heather’s book. The class cost is $85 and the materials fee is $10.

Heather Hardison is an North Carolina born illustrator and sign painter living and working in Oakland, California. Her work explores the intersection of art and design, weaving typographic and informational elements, with hand drawn imagery. Her book Homegrown: Illustrated Bites from your Garden to your Table. is the marriage of her skills as an illustrator and sign painter and her passion for gardening and cooking.
