Vermiculture Compost Workshop

Learn how you can transform your food scraps into a nutritive soil amendment using red wiggler worms in this vermi-compost workshop. Compost expert Rick Kaye will teach participants how to set up and maintain their own low-maintenance worm bin system at their home, business, or farm, with an emphasis on organic and Biodynamic growing.  Attendees will learn the rules behind making quality vermi-compost and dig into live examples of worm bins.

Rick Kaye is the founder of The Compost Club, which set up 25 local schools and businesses to compost their waste onsite. The program is now managed by the North Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council. Rick is the Farm Manager for Puma Springs Vineyards, a certified Biodynamic vineyard in Healdsburg, CA.
