Lunch with Deborah Madison and Roots of Change
SHED is proud to support Roots of Change, a food and farming advocacy group with a strong history of unifying food policy campaigns. Join us in celebrating their work in a lunch inspired by Deborah Madison – a legend in the culinary and sustainable agriculture worlds – and her new book, In My Kitchen. Deborah founded the much loved and long-standing Greens Restaurant in San Francisco and has authored 14 books including The Savory Way, Local Flavors, Vegetable Literacy, What We Eat When We Eat Alone and her latest with a release date of March 2017, In My Kitchen. In this special event, Deborah will share her culinary journey and her hopes for our food and farm future in conversation with ROC’s president, Michael Dimock.
Deborah’s books are culinary, literary, and inspiring. They deepen our love and appreciation for the beauty and bounty that comes from the land and the people who farm and ranch. Her thoughts on food and farms and her recipes help us to build bonds of affection with those we feed and those who feed us. The event will feature a lunch inspired by her new book prepared by Chef Perry Hoffman in SHED’s Modern Grange. Participants will receive a copy of In My Kitchen, which Deborah will be happy to sign. Select Single or Double ticket from the pull-down menu on the right. Double ticket includes one copy of the book, and lunch for two.
